Lilac Psychology
Jessica Carstairs

Jessica is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and Director of Lilac Psychology, working with adult clients to draw on their personal strengths and inner resources to move through challenges, regulate emotion, and reconnect with a stronger sense of self.
Her practice is integrative, trauma-and-attachment-informed, and neuroaffirming. She works across a range of evidence-based modalities including EMDR (with additional training in Relational-Integrative EMDR and EMDR 2.0), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic principles, and mindfulness-based approaches – tailoring her approach collaboratively to each person’s needs and goals.
Jessica also has a particular interest in supporting Autistic and/or ADHD adults, offering care informed by both ongoing professional learning and lived experience. She is bilingual and bicultural with a French background, and provides therapy in French as well as English for Melbourne’s francophone community.
Areas of interest include: Trauma-related challenges (including PTSD and C-PTSD), relational trauma, dissociation, depression, burnout (including Autistic/ADHD burnout), anxiety, low self-esteem, life transitions, and personal growth.
Jessica also offers EMDR Intensives — concentrated, single-day therapeutic blocks designed for focused trauma processing outside a traditional weekly-session format.
She brings personal values of authenticity, inclusiveness, integrity, creativity, openness, humility, and collaboration to her clinical work, and places strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for meaningful change.
