Jeannine Mills
I am a registered psychologist with over 20 years of counselling experience and 8 years in the corporate sector. I see individual adults and my therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy, both evidence-based frameworks. I am passionate about helping clients navigate anxiety and relationship challenges.
I work with many people experiencing anxiety and relationship issues including:
• Stress, burnout, and perfectionism
• Generalised anxiety (overthinking, overplanning, catastrophising)
• Difficulty being vulnerable and managing emotions
• A self-critical or demanding inner voice
• Self-doubt, people-pleasing, and excessive guilt
• Unhelpful coping strategies
• Social anxiety
• Panic
• Relationship challenges including dating concerns, separation adjustment, co-dependency, extended family and family of origin.
The way we relate to ourselves, and others, is fundamental to our mental health. Anxiety can place significant strain on relationships, just as difficulties in our relationships can, in turn, heighten feelings of anxiety.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. Together, we’ll explore the past to understand how your experiences and relationships have shaped you, focus on the present to identify current challenges and coping mechanisms, and develop healthier strategies to help you move toward a life aligned with your values.
Feel free to get in touch for a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to see if I’m the right fit for you. Reduced rates are available for appointments between 11 am and 3 pm.
