Dr Anita Raspovic (PhD)
Anita is passionate about developing warm and supportive therapeutic relationships with clients, offering individualised evidence-based treatment for a range of psychological issues. She is a qualified and registered Clinical Psychologist, a Board Approved Supervisor and a Credentialled Eating Disorder Clinician – Mental Health (CEDC-MH), holding a research PhD and a Masters in Clinical Psychology.
Anita supports adults (18 years +) with a broad range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, childhood / attachment-related concerns and trauma-related issues including PTSD / cPTSD. She has a particular interest in working with adults experiencing eating disorders (all diagnoses), eating, weight/body and body image related difficulties, trauma-related concerns and where eating disorders and past trauma overlap. She works with people of all body sizes, including average and larger bodies, pre-post bariatric surgery and men.
She works with a range of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Specialised Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) approaches. Anita’s empathetic, caring yet challenging and engaging style optimises the relationship with clients and their loved ones whilst seeking results from a trauma informed, neuro-affirming, strengths-based
perspective.
Availability:
Offers in person sessions at St Kilda or telehealth sessions on Wednesday afternoons and evenings, appointments via telehealth at other times by appointment.
